Sweet Water Hollow in Salmon, Idaho is hosting a Hybrid Wilderness First Responder/ W-EMT Upgrade May 27th-31st, 2019. This is a great opportunity to get certified locally before the river season is in full force!

The course is taught at the event venue Sweet Water Hollow, a spacious log building with country flare that beautifully overlooks the Main Salmon River. Lectures and simple labs are held at the venue, with practice simulations staged nearby. Some larger simulations will be held in the Discovery Hills Trails System and alongside the banks of the Main Salmon river near Carmen, ID. Students will be responsible for self-transportation to these sites. These areas offer a variety of terrain for engaging and realistic hands-on rescue scenarios.

Nearest Airport: Missoula, MT (MSO) or Idaho Falls, ID (IDA)
Lodging: Free camping is available at the event site. Sweet Water Hollow has a full kitchen, shower, Wi-fi and lounge areas available to campers throughout the course. Please contact the venue manager before the course if you would like to camp. There are a number of hotel options available, the Stagecoach Inn and Super 8 Motel being in walking distance of Sweet Water. There are a number of developed campgrounds within a short driving distance of Salmon.
Meals:Meals are not provided; you will need to bring you own food. The kitchen area has a stove/oven, microwave, fridge and coffee maker. You will need to be prepared to clean the kitchen after each use as well as wash the dishes. There are many restaurant options in Salmon and a full grocery store. The grocery store in Salmon is closed on Sundays so plan accordingly for the first day of the course.
Parking: Parking in front of the venue is plentiful, free and easy to access.
